Physical Signs of Burnout

Burnout can reveal itself in a variety of ways. Some of these ways can affect us physically. We tend to treat these physical symptoms, but the symptoms keep returning because the root cause is not addressed. We may not even realize that burnout is the problem.

Unfortunately, burnout can come on slow. Without knowing what to watch out for, it can be difficult to detect the impact burnout has on your physical body until the impact is significant.

Here are five common signs of burnout that are revealed physically:

  • Lack of energy
  • Changed appetite
  • Unexplained headaches or backaches
  • Lower immunity – Frequently feeling sick
  • Changed sleep habits
